Day3: Copenhagen by bike
Cycling seems to be the most common form of transport here so we hired a couple of bikes from our hotel and used them to explore the city for a day. This enabled us to get a few km out of town to Orestad to see things like the VM mountain appartments built in 2005 - an experiment designed to give everyone a nice outlook with fresh air and sun. They look like gardens from the front as you can see below. We also managed to follow the canals to the spectacular Opera House and UN building. Biking was such a great way to get round as the drivers were all very accommodating and there didn't seem to be that much traffic and cargo bikes with families and shopping were very common. We even managed to visit a lego store with life size constructions.
